When I started the car last Saturday morning to drive to Hunt Valley Towne Centre, the temperature gauge registered 12 degrees.  Heck, even parts of Texas and Florida were seeing freezing temperatures.  In order to defrost the brain, it’s clearly time to think spring.  All we have to do is work our way around the sun a bit to warm up our neighborhood in the Northern Hemisphere.  Not to be confused with ‘Around the World in 80 Days’, as of January 14, there’s 80 days to our 3rd Anniversary.

Through Hunt Valley Horsepower’s affiliation with NAPA Auto Parts, the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund became one of our community’s key charities.  For the 3rd Anniversary, it is the charity of focus.

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund’s Mission Statement

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund serves United States military personnel wounded or injured in service to our nation, and their families.  Supporting these heroes helps repay the debt all Americans owe them for the sacrifices they have made in service to our nation.  They are, in the words of our founder, the late Zachary Fisher, “our nation’s greatest national resource,” and they deserve all the help that our nation can provide.  The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund is a leader in meeting this important national mission.

For more information on the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, you are encouraged to review www.fallenheroesfund.org.

In the past, for benefit gatherings, donations were brought together only during the morning of the event.  For the 3rd Anniversary, there will be the added option of donating online.  Going online opens the donation window from a few hours to a few weeks.  A greater impact will be made.  CrowdRise.com came with the highest recommendations so it was selected as the donation center.  To donate online, www.crowdrise.com/hvhp is the location.  Thank you for your consideration and donation!

At the center of our community, there are about 2 dozen automotive enthusiast clubs and many are anticipating to be in attendance on Saturday, April 4.  When all of the clubs and their projected automobile totals are considered, we’re talking about a grand amount of automobiles.  It’s easy to understand that accepting club reservations will add to efficiency to the overall experience.  Now is the time to begin to project your club’s participation.  Take the word back to your club and get the wheels turning!  Spring will be here before you know it.  Stay warm and see you down the road.
